Fire Fighter & Operations Operative

Starting Salary £23,432 per annum

We are currently seeking enthusiastic qualified Fire Fighters, to carry out Aviation Fire and Rescue Service duties along with operational duties as directed by senior officers at Blackpool Airport. 

The ideal applicant will have Fire Fighting experience including the wearing of Breathing Apparatus. You must hold a current and relevant CAA or equivalent Fire and Service qualification. An LGV license would be advantageous, you must be able to work well in a team and on your own initiative.

As an Aviation Fire Fighter you will be expected to respond to all emergency incidents at Blackpool Airport. You will also undertake a continuous training programme by attending external courses, internal lectures, practical training sessions including exercises and other forms of training to maintain competence levels.

Current medical fitness to CAA standards (FireFit UK) will apply. The role is based on 40 hours per week and is an exciting opportunity for a highly self motivated person to develop existing and learn new skills.

Fire & Operations Supervisor

Circa - £27K

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic qualified supervisor to carry out Aviation Fire and Rescue Service duties along with operational duties.

The ideal applicant will have Aviation Fire Fighting experience, hold a current and relevant CAA or equivalent Fire and Rescue Service qualification at supervisor level. An LGV license would be advantageous, you can work well within a team as well as on your own initiative.

As an Aviation Fire & Operations Supervisor you will be expected to respond to emergency incidents at Blackpool Airport. You will also be responsible for the management and ongoing review of the Fire Stations training programme. You will be able to identify training needs, prepare and participate in practical and theoretical training sessions, to maintain competency as per the Fire Stations training programme and CAP 699 3rd edition.

Current CAA medical standards and a high level of fitness is required and you will be required to achieve a bleep test entry level of 9.6. This role is based on 40 hours per week but operate an annualised roster system. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person to develop and learn new skills.

Air Traffic Control Officer

Salary up to £55K (based on qualifications & experience)

We are pleased to be expanding our team at Blackpool Airport and have a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Air Traffic Controller. You will be responsible for expediting and maintaining an orderly and safe flow of traffic, preventing collisions between aircraft as well as between aircraft and vehicles on the manoeuvring area.

You must have the ability to work under pressure, on your own initiative within a small busy team.
