Earlier this summer, we were happy to welcome The Flying Reporter to Blackpool.
The Flying Reporter conducts a series of Aerodrome Reviews all around the country in his PA28 Piper Arrow and publishes the video on his YouTube channel.
As well as landing in Blackpool, we were able to give him a tour of the ATC and a special chat with SATCO Natalia Hall to discuss what it’s like to approach, land and take off from Blackpool. He also got the chance to look around Hangar 42 Spitfire Visitor Centre and the Saving Amy Project and flight simulator.
With over 30,000 aero club flights last year, Blackpool is the second most popular general aviation airport in the country, with hundreds of pilots choosing to land here every week. We also offer a range of pilot training courses from some of our occupiers at Westair, ANT and High-G.
