Blackpool Airport is protected by a Flight Restriction Zone (FRZ) which means it is illegal to fly a drone or remotely piloted aircraft at any time within the FRZ, unless specific permission is granted by the airport operator.

Permissions to Fly in Blackpool Airport FRZ

Requests to fly a drone within the Blackpool Airport FRZ must be submitted 72 hours in advance.
Any drone flight request made within the 72 hours’ notice period might not be processed in adequate time.

Before submitting an application, operators will need to register with Air Portal.
