Blackpool Airport is proud to announce another significant milestone in its ongoing growth and development.

Fylde Council has approved plans for a new building that will include administration offices, enhanced security measures, and upgraded passenger handling facilities.

This additional space will enable the airport to manage larger charter flights more efficiently, supporting our growing customer base and operations. Over the past three years, we have worked tirelessly alongside Hanger Three Aviation Services to accommodate increased private corporate and executive aircraft charter flights, including larger cabin-class corporate aircraft.

The approval is part of a broader strategy to upgrade infrastructure at Blackpool Airport. Future plans include construction of new general aviation and executive hangars, development of a maintenance hangar, a proposed solar farm and a new fuel farm to provide sustainable and alternative aviation fuels, as well as battery storage.

These advancements reflect our commitment to ensuring Blackpool Airport remains a modern, sustainable, and efficient hub for aviation.
