The Blackpool Airport Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) is a structured forum that provides an opportunity for the exchange of information between the airport (as represented by its owners, the management and the various disparate operations which comprise the airport) and external interested parties.
The committee was set up in accordance with Section 35 of the Civil Aviation Act of 1982, to provide ‘facilities for consultation’.
Tri-annual meetings are a formal mechanism to share an understanding of the operation of the airport with the local community and also for the airport to better understand relevant issues arising across the local community.
The JCC is NOT a dispute resolution forum, nor does it have any executive or decision-making powers. It can facilitate constructive discussions and help to resolve differences, while maintaining an overview of trends.
